After a long delay and a reduction in the sponsorship price, Dream11 has been announced as the new sponsor for the Indian Cricket Team, replacing Byju’s.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed the deal, stating that Dream11’s logo will be seen on the team’s jerseys during the Test series against the West Indies, which marks their first assignment in the ICC World Test Championship 2023-2025 cycle.
The BCCI had to lower the base price for the sponsorship deal due to industry pressure, bringing it down to Rs 350 crore. Byju’s, the previous sponsor, paid around Rs 287 crore for their last tenure in 2018, and later extended the deal to 2023.
