BCCI chief selector Chetan Sharma resigns from position after sting operation exposes BCCI

Indian Cricket is in disarray once more. Chetan Sharma, the chairman of the selection committee, resigned as a result of a television undercover operation in which he revealed nefarious information about Indian cricket. As a result, there is currently a cloud over the Selection Committee meeting for the final two Tests of the Border Gavaskar Trophy and the ODI series.

Chetan Sharma, the head selector for the BCCI, leaves his position. Jay Shah, the secretary of the BCCI, received his resignation and accepted it.

“No player or selector will be comfortable on sharing a cordial relationship even with well meaning journalists after this sting as the trust factor has been compromised,” a senior BCCI source PTI on conditions of anonymity.
