BBL| MLS v PRS: Faf du Plessis and Josh Inglis’ half-centuries takes Perth Scorchers score past 200

Perth Scorchers set the target of 230 runs for Melbourne Stars.

Perth Scorchers and Melbourne Stars are up against each other in a league game of Big Bash League (BBL). Perth Scorchers won the toss and elected to bat first against MLS and it seems to be a good decision so far as the away side set a huge target of 230 runs.

The host (Melbourne Stars) has somehow restricted the PRS as they were close to scoring 250 runs in the game. MLS and PRS have the same points (2) in the league.

Melbourne Stars’ pacer named Luke Wood took a fifer in the game which helped them restrict PRS to 229/7. Opening batter Faf du Plessis and wicket-keeper batter Josh Inglis’ scored half-centuries and took the score past 200 for Perth Scorchers. Both the batters were on fire as both of them had a strike rate of more than 200.

Faf scored 68 runs whereas the keeper-batter scored 74 runs in this game. Luke Wood’s last over of the game was phenomenal as he took three wickets in the last four balls.

This was another entertaining session in the BBL and could be more entertaining as the chase from Melbourne Stars is pending.
