BBL has announced their fixtures for the upcoming edition of the league. Earlier Tasmania, Queensland and South Australia were announced as the venues but due to increase in COVID-19 cases in the Southern Australia, the new venues are confirmed to be in Western Australia, New South Wales and Victoria.
The first five matches will be played at Perth starting on January 3, out of which 4 will be home games for the Perth Scorchers.
January 13 onwards the matches will be played at Sydney and Melbourne. Sydney will host 8 games in total out of which 4 will be played at the Sydney Cricket ground and the other 4 will be played at the Sydney Showground stadium.
Melbourne will host the maximum matches in this edition as they will be hosting a bulk of 11 matches in total.
5 of these matches will be hosted by the Marvel stadium and the rest 6 will be played at the Melbourne cricket ground.
Rest of the matches have been divided between the remaining stadiums with Adelaide Oval getting 3 matches, the Gabba getting 2 matches, Metricon Stadium getting 4 matches and the ²Blundstone Arena getting 2 matches in early January.
The CA’s BBL Head released a statement while confirming this schedule and also has praised the CA committee for ensuring this tournament.
He also has confirmed that every BBL fan will get to see their favourite team live in action at their home ground.
The details for tickets of the matches will also be live as soon as it is figured out by the CA committee.
