During Mushfiqur Rahim’s century, he scored 14 fours and two sixes to set a new record for the best century score. In the second innings, Bangladesh improved their score from the first innings and broke the record for the highest ODI total. While Ireland did stage a comeback with three quick wickets, the partnership between Mushfiqur Rahim and Towhid Hridoy of 128 runs off 78 balls was essential for Bangladesh. Bangladesh batters made merry as they leaked runs on both sides of the stumps. To level the series, Ireland now face a formidable challenge.
