Nic Pothas, a former South African batsman, has been named the team’s assistant coach, the Bangladesh Cricket Board revealed on Thursday.
The 49-year-old and the BCB have come to terms on a two-year contract, and he will travel to the UK next month to join the team for the three-match ODI series against Ireland.
“I am honoured to commit to the Bangladesh National Team. The depth and array of talent running through Bangladesh is exceptional and I believe we have some exciting years ahead of us,” Pothas said in a statement on Thursday.
