A representative of the Bangladesh Cricket Board announced on Monday that Julian Calefato, a former national physio, has been named head of the facility’s rehabilitation centre. In November 2021, Calefato announced his intention to resign from his position as Bangladesh’s physiologist, citing family obligations.
The appointment of Calefeto is the first step in the direction of opening a rehabilitation centre to oversee the rehab programme for injured cricketers to help them recover from their injuries, as stated earlier by BCB President Nazmul Hasan.
“We (BCB) have appointed Julian as head of our rehabilitation center that we will open to make sure that our injured cricketers are having a smooth recovery,” said Jalal.
