BAN v AUS Women’s World Cup 2022: Beth Mooney star in Australia’s win (136/5); Australia remain undefeated in the World Cup

Australia remains undefeated to enter the semi-finals as the side won their match against Bangladesh by 5 wickets.

When the team lost consecutive wickets against the seemingly dominant Bangladesh side, Beth Mooney held her nerve. Bangladesh, while scoring 135/6, did put Australia in a spot of bother after bagging consecutive wickets Alyssa Healy, Rachael Haynes, and Meg Lanning. Further, Mooney arrived at the crease and comfortably held one end of the batting lineup (66*) while partnering the chase with Annabel Sutherland who scored 26* runs. The Australian batting lineup couldn’t display a fancy show with the bat, but the side will look to impress their chances of winning the cup after defeating India earlier.
