In the wake of the resumption of the second of the IPL, he managed to score 0 and 2 runs in his first two games. The team franchise decided to drop him and replace him with Jason Roy.

He was sacked from the team due to his poor performance which lead his confidence down as he is looking forward to scoring and makes an impact in this year’s World T20 Cup in Dubai and Oman. His inclusion will definitely boost the entire team to perform well this year.
