Australian cricket team have defeated Indian side in the three-game ODI series by 2-1 after they won the third and the last game on Wednesday, 22nd March, at Chepauk Stadium, Chennai. Australian side were phenomenal in this three-game series in India.
They never looked like visitors as they were dominating this good looking Indian side. Rohit Sharma’s men were stunned looking at this performance from the Aussies. Steven Smith’s Australia break India’s four year record of remaining unbeaten in the bilateral series.
Steven Smith was exceptional with his captaincy as he made the right bowling changes, made the right decisions at the right time which led to their victory in this difficult series against India. With this victory, they not only registered more wins in India but also reached the top spot in ODI rankings.
Australia are the new No.1 team in the ODIs overtaking India after a series win over them. This will boost Aussies’ confidence especially when the ODI World Cup is very near.
