Australia is set for the five-match Twenty20 international games against Sri Lanka in the upcoming month, followed by the Pakistan tour.
Australia’s 16-men squad for the Dettol T20I series against Sri Lanka is – Aaron Finch ( captain), followed by – Ashton Agar, Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood, Travis Head, Moises Henriques, Josh Inglis, Glenn Maxwell, Ben McDermott, Jhye Richardson, Kane Richardson, Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc, Marcus Stoinis, Matthew Wade, and Adam Zampa.
Justin Langer decided to rest and Andrew McDonald will act as Head Coach for team Australia. The decision of Justin Langer and some core members to stay back is to prepare for the upcoming important tour against Pakistan.
Five out of the 16-men squad are from the Test team which played Ashes and dominated the series with 4-0. The players are – Steve Smith, Travis Head, Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood.
David Warner and Mitch Marsh are asked to stay back and prepare for the Pakistan tour, while Josh Hazlewood has received an opportunity to come back in the T20I squad for team Australia.
The series is likely to start from February 11 to 20th February. Cricket Australia’s association have quoted that some players have got a chance to showcase their performance for the upcoming important series against Pakistan.

Australia will be playing with Pakistan on March 3 after completing the series with Sri Lanka. The game against team Pakistan includes 3 Test games, 3 ODIs and 1 T20I in Pakistan.
