AUS vs NZ: There will be a change in T20I schedule because of a new Covid case

A new Covid case in New Zealand leads to changes in the ongoing 5 match T20I series between Australia and New Zealand. The country is on high alert because of the situation and not only the men’s but women’s bilateral series against England also disrupted due to this reason.

The doubleheader will now be played in Wellington behind closed doors without any audience in the stadium. The teams will stay in Wellington following their respective game on March 3. The match was earlier scheduled on 5th March in Auckland but with the city moved to alert level 3, the match will be played on 7th March in Wellington. Both matches will be played at empty stands and the New Zealand Cricket (NZC) will wait for the government’s further instructions on crowds.

The 5 matches T20I series is currently led by the black caps that is New Zealand by 2-0. On the other hand, the New Zealand Women trail England Women by an identical score of 2-0in their ODI series, and the last ODI of the series will be played on Sunday, 28/02/2021.
