AUS vs IND: Warner added to the Australian squad along with Pucovski, Rohit joins the Indian team in Melbourne

Australian team after suffering a huge defeat has taken a tough call and have left out their opener Joe Burns who had been their first choice opener for a long time. Burns was given multiple opportunities in recent times but couldn’t deliver. He was still picked for the first test as his contender for the position Will Pucovski was injured in the warm-up match. Along with Will, David Warner was ruled out as well for the first two tests. Burns couldn’t deliver in the first innings of the first test but scored a half-century in an easy chase in the second innings. Burns failed miserably in the Boxing Day test as he failed badly in both innings.

Australia has decided to move on from Burns as Warner and Pucovski were declared fit before the third test. Warner was seen running between the wickets and batting in the nets at MCG. Pucovski was added after he was declared fit by the medical team. The management will take the final call on the duo’s inclusion to the team after observing them in the nets.
