Tim Paine recalled his 2018-19 Test series against team India as an ‘annoying’.

Australia Test captain Tim Paine recalled his 2018-19 Test series loss against India ‘annoying’. The Australia side lost their first home Test series to India as they beat them 2-1 in the 4 matches.

Few people belived that the absence of David Warner and Steve Smith from the team played a significant role in the loss for the Australian side. While speaking to 2GB’s WWOS radio on 23 November, Tim Paine revealed that the Australian side should not have lost the home Test series despite of which players represented the team.

“Certainly for me sitting back still annoys me that we lost that Test series. Whether we had  Steve or David or not you don’t want to be losing any Test matches or Test series you’re involved in, so that still grinds me a little bit”, said Tim Paine.

Seven players including, Tim Paine has been selected for playing the upcoming ICC World Test Championship series against India.

“I know that it drives a lot of the guys that were involved in that and I certainly know Steve and David are looking forward to coming back and showing just how good they are as well”, Tim Paine added further.

The Test series between India and Australia is just few days to start.
