The Wicketkeeper, Rishab pant was seemed to be in a cheerful mood on Day 1 of ongoing fourth test series between India and Australia. He was also little vocal behind the stumps, encouraging bowlers on every given opportunity. Also pant provided some laughable relief to his teammates specially to those who were standing in the slip cordon. Pant did his best, supplicating with the skipper Ajinkya Rahane to go to DRS in the final session, and it did manage to bring a smile on the vice captain Rohit Sharma’s face .
T Natarajan had beaten the outside edge of Tim’s bat in 84th over and pant was the only one who went up for a shout for caught behind the Australian skipper.
Cricket Australia shared this light moment on twitter that left the Indian slip cordon in splits.
However Tim paine won the toss and choose to bat at Gabba earlier in the day. Meanwhile India fielded four fresh faces in the final Test of the four-match series, providing debuts to T Natarajan and Washington Sundar.
