AUS vs IND: Kohli plays trademark ABD shot in run-chase

India is chasing a massive total of 195 in the second T20 against Australia at Sydney Cricket Ground. The chase is on the track as India is batting quite well. Shikhar Dhawan and KL Rahul gave the start team needed in a big chase. In powerplay the team went on to score 60 runs but lost Rahul in the process. Kohli and Dhawan tried to build a partnership together as Dhawan went on to score yet another half century in T20’s. Dhawan got out when the score was at 95 and team needed 100 runs in 9 overs.

Kohli didn’t play any risky shots until Samson got out. As soon as Samson got out, Kohli took the charge and started striking the ball. He took on every bowler and started smashing them all over the park. He took on Zampa who has got Kohli out before as well and smacked him for a beautiful six over covers.

Andrew Tye who wasn’t had a good match came to bowl his 3rd over of the match to Kohli, Kohli played a trademark ABD shot to third man. He scooped the ball to third man region, going down on his knees for a six. He smacked another six after a couple of balls. This over changed the momentum for the Indian side as they started closing in on the game. Kohli got out in the very next over to Daniel Sams trying to cut away a short delivery by stepping out. He scored 40 off 24 deliveries with 2 fours and 2 maximums.

India eventually won the match by 6 wickets thanks to Pandya’s finishing skills and Iyer’s important runs in quick time. India has won the T20 series by 2-0 with one match to go.
