AUS vs IND: India’s buttery fingers costs them heavily

The first ODI is underway and the hosts won the toss and elected to bat first. They have set a massive target of 375 for the visitors. This huge total was set due to brilliance of Smith and Finch as they both went on to score centuries. While Smith played a quick innings, Finch took his own time to set on the field.

Warner and Finch provided provided a decent start to the team as they both formed a partnership of 156 in just 28 overs. This partnership was done by Warner and Finch with help of few mistakes from Indian fielders. Dhawan dropped Finch when he didn’t even cross his 50 run mark. The opener were anyway weren’t giving many chances and the few that were being created, Indian team didn’t capitalize on them.

The second centurion, Steve Smith also gave few chance but the fielders didn’t try enough to get under the ball. Again here the culprit was Dhawan as he dropped Smith at long off when he was under score of 30. Bumrah as well couldn’t cover the ground in time as Smith played a shot at deep mid wicket. These few chances that could have changed the game were not grabbed by the Indian fielders. Along with these chances a couple of run out chances were also created in the match which weren’t completed by the team. Chahal is also there is the list of dropping catches. Hardik Pandya dropped Glenn Maxwell when his carnage was on. Along with these dropped chances, misfields also took place as the batsmen ran two instead of one. Mayank Agarwal gave away a boundary what should have a mandatory stop. Kohli was also in this list as he gave  away a double where it should have been a single.

How will this affect the team will be seen in the second innings when India begins their chase.
