AUS vs IND: BCCI provides updates on squad ahead of the first ODI
Navdeep Saini complained about back spasm before the first ODI. As a back up, left arm pacer T Natarajan has been added to the One day side to cover for Saini if required. T Natarajan has been impressive in the IPL and hence was added to the T20 side for India to play against Australia. He has been added to the squad which will play 3 ODI’s against Australia.
BCCI secretary also gave update on Rohit Sharma and Ishant Sharma.Rohit Sharma returned to Mumbai after the IPL, as his father was not well. He is currently at the NCA facility in rehabilitation. He suffered injury during an IPL match against the KXIP side. He didn’t play the league matches for the side after that match and straight away played the playoffs matches for MI.
His next assessment will be conducted on 11th December where the decision regarding his participation in the test squad will be decided. Ishant Sharma was declared completely fit. He began his training for gaining enough to handle the workload of test match. He has been ruled out of the test series against Australia.BCCI gave this update on their social media handle.
The test series will begin from 17th December at Adelaide.
NEWS – T Natarajan added to India’s ODI squad
