The start didn’t go the way Aussies wanted as they lost their captain in the very second over. Aaron Finch was back in the pavilion without troubling the scores. Smith joined Wade at the crease as the duo started building a partnership. The duo went on to build a partnership of 65 in next 8 overs. Smith got out to Sundar’s brilliant delivery as tried to hit it over the covers region but ended up missing it entirely and had his bails knocked over.

Maxwell who had a good ODI series and was having a decent T20 series came out to bat and began doing what he is known for. He started smacking every bowler for runs. Wade and Maxwell took the Aussie innings ahead as they eyed to go beyond 200.

The fielding by the Indian team was poor as they dropped Maxwell on a couple of instances which affected the team as he got more runs on the board for Australian team. Mathew Wade was found trapped infront of the stumps but the umpire gave it not out, the replay was shown before the review time of 15 seconds and the Indian captain decided to review after the replay was played on the screen. Hence this review was dismissed by the third umpire. Shardul Thakur got into the attack after the 11th over which backfired for the Indian team as went for 43 runs in his 4 over quota.

The Indian team now has to chase 187 in 20 overs in order to get a clean sweep over the Aussies.
