AUS v RSA: David Warner gets injured while celebrating his double century

Australian opener David Warner is playing his 100th Test match.

The Australian opening batter David Warner is retired hurt in the ongoing game against South Africa at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). The batter was celebrating his double century and while doing that he had some cramps for which he needed some medical attention on field.

He was down on field and the medical team of Australia signalled towards their pavilion that David can’t continue as he has got a serious cramp. David Warner couldn’t walk off the ground himself and thus the medical team helped him. David Warner would have been regretting for his celebration after his double century.

This is a milestone game for him as he is playing his 100th Test match and becomes only the second player to score a double century in the 100th Test. After David Warner got injured and walked off the field, his partner Steve Smith was dismissed for 85 runs who was also playing very well.

Now both the new batters are on field for Australia. There is no updates from the medical team about David Warner’s injury. Fans will be hoping to see him on the pitch again in this Test match against South Africa.
