Australian team have declared with a massive lead of 386 runs on day 3. The batters did well and helped the host reach this huge total. David Warner scored double century and wicket-keeper batter Alex Carey scored a century in this innings. Steve Smith also played well but couldn’t complete his 100. Australia will try to bowl out South Africa as soon as posible and will try to win with some runs and an innings.

However South Africa will try to take this Test match to the last day as the draw would do for them to be in this series. Australia planned to declare their innings before Tea break.

South Africa will need to score 386 first to start their lead and give target to the host from there. With the quality bowling in the first innings by Australia, it seems very difficult for the South African batters to stay at the crease for long.
