Since it was against Pakistan’s archrival, India won their opening game of the Asia Cup 2022, which was considered to be one of the most important games. India had five wickets remaining when they completed the 148-run mark. The Player of the Match was announced to be Hardik Pandya. Every Indian supporter in the world is now celebrating thanks to Hardik Pandya’s outstanding performance. After a long time, India and Pakistan played a match that was so tight that both teams had equal chances of winning until Pandya scored six to end it in the “Blue’s Way”

Ravindra Jadeja too made a significant impact, scoring 35 runs off only 29 balls while hitting two fours and two sixes. 52 runs were scored in partnership between Jadeja and Hardik for the fifth wicket. After the game, Jadeja had to be interviewed by former India batter Sanjay Manjrekar for his post-match duties.

But the first thing he ended up asking Jadeja was whether the left-handed batter was okay to talk to him. It is important to note that Manjrekar had called Jadeja a “bits and pieces” cricketer during the 2019 World Cup, and then Jadeja had slammed the former India batter on social media, saying: “Still I have played twice the number of matches you have played and I m still playing. Learn to respect ppl who have achieved. I have heard enough of your verbal diarrhoea. @sanjaymanjrekar.”

“I have got Ravindra Jadeja here with me, first question, you are okay to talk to me Jaddu right?” Sanjay Manjrekar started off his interview with Jadeja.

Jadeja replied: “Yeah, yeah. Absolutely. I do not have any problem.”

“We wanted to play till the end, they have a very good bowling attack, their fast bowlers don’t give anything away. I could have finished the game but Hardik played superbly. He (Pandya) came out, he was very clear in his head and said he was going to play his shots, and I am happy that he stayed till the end,” stated Jadeja.
