At the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, during the Super Fours clash of the Asia Cup 2025, Abhishek dominated Sri Lanka’s bowling attack, racing to 60 off just 29 balls, striking 8 boundaries and 2 sixes at a blistering strike rate above 200. He further showcased his class with a lofted extra-cover drive off Dasun Shanaka to bring up another sparkling milestone.
India, put into bat after Sri Lanka opted to field first, reached 86/2 after 8 overs. While Tilak Varma (5* off 4) is still settling in, Abhishek’s aggressive stroke play has ensured India remain in command despite the dismissal of Suryakumar Yadav.
India made two changes for the contest, bringing in Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana, while Sri Lanka included Janith Liyanage in their XI. With Abhishek leading the charge, India look well-placed to post a strong total under lights.
