In a clash between arch-rivals India and Pakistan at the Asia Cup 2023, the cricketing world witnessed some intense action. After a promising start led by Rohit Sharma, India found themselves in a spot of bother as their skipper, Virat Kohli, departed early in the innings, leaving them at 30/2 after 7 overs.
Rohit Sharma had given India a decent start, but the tide turned when the Pakistan pace sensation, Shaheen Afridi, struck twice in quick succession. First, he managed to dismiss Rohit Sharma, who was looking in good touch, for a well-made contribution. But it was his next scalp that sent shockwaves through the Indian camp. Former Indian captain Virat was unlucky as ball hit the inside edge first and then the stumps.
It was a disappointing dismissal for Virat and his expressions said it all. The wicket gave a huge tension to Indian fans as Indian fans are two down and two of their great batters are back to pavilion.
