The Indian team, came from their canceled game against Pakistan due to rain, were eager to make a strong start to their campaign. Nepal, on the other hand, looked to cause an upset and make a statement in this tournament which is a bit new to them.

The Nepali openers displayed determination and confidence, facing the Indian bowlers with composure. However, the Indian bowling attack, known for its depth and versatility found rhythm a bit late.
