Afghanistan defeated Ireland in 2nd ODI as Rahmat hits the century


In Abu Dhabi Rahmat Shah hits an unbeaten century as Ireland lost to Afghanistan by seven wickets in their second one-day international.

From 109 balls Rahmat hit two sixes and 10 fours in his 103, leading Afghans to their victory target of 260 with 28 spare balls.

Hashmatullah Shahidi backed up Rahmat, the duo put on 184 for the third wicket.

To help his team for victory Asghar Afghan, Afghanistan skipper pitched in with an unbeaten 21.

Earlier, Ireland had won the toast and choose to bat, from 50 overs Paul Stirling played 128 balls from 132 to help his team get to 259/9.

congratulating Rahmat and Hashmatullah Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) tweeted on Sunday that, ” A record partnership between middle order batsman @RahmatShah_08 & @Hashmat_50 ensured Afghanistan beat @Irelandcricket by 7 wickets comfortably in the second ODI.”
