Indian captain Rohit Sharma opened up on the viral video of fans allegedly chanting Jai Shree Ram at star Indian pacer Mohhamed Shami at the fourth and final Test against Australia at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
In the press conference at the end of the 5th day’s play, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma was asked about the incident, but the Rohit said he was unaware.
Rohit said, “I am unaware of Jai Shri Ram chants for Shami. I just heard it for the first time. I don’t know what has happened there,” Rohit said in the post-match press conference.
It is the first time that India has won the Border Gavaskar Trophy four times in a row. They defeated the first two Tests in Nagpur and Delhi to retain the BGT. The Australians returned with a nine-wicket victory in Indore, followed by a draw in the last Test.
