The seamer was not retained by his old franchise Chennai Super Kings before the IPL mega auction and went with retaining the likes of Ravindra Jadeja for 16 crores, MS Dhoni for 12 crores, all-rounder Moen Ali for 8 crores, and Ruturaj Gaikwad for 6 crores. As Deepak Chahar will be going under the hammer on the 12 and 13th of February many teams will be looking to strengthen their bowling attack by adding the fastmen in their squads.

Deepak Chahar has 59 wickets to his name since he made his debut in IPL in 2016 with an average of 29.18 and a good economy of (7.80). He will be a player to watch out for in the IPL megs auction this year.

The same is the case with Yuzvendra Chahal who was not retained by Royal Challengers Banglore before the IPL mega auction and went with retaining the likes of their former captain Virat Kohli for 15 crores, Glenn Maxwell for 11 crores, and pacer Mohammad Siraj for 7 Crores.

It was surprising that RCB didn’t retain the experienced leggy who has been a phenomenal player for the franchise taking 139 wickets with an average of (22.28)
and an economy of (7.59).
