It is a memorable and remarkable weekend for the Indian cricket fraternity, BCCI, and specifically for the fans as the nation will be witnessing two honourable records by team India.

The Indian team will be playing against West Indies for the white-ball series which starts with the 3-match ODI series in Ahmedabad with February 6 initiating the start of the series as well as a new journey for the Indian cricket fraternity. The first ODI against West Indies will be team India’s 1000th One Day International game with the first-ever ODI being held at Headingly, Leeds against team India. In the course of 999 ODIs, India has won 518 of them with 431 losses, 9 ties, and 41 matches concluding with no results. The landmark moment will, unfortunately, won’t be witnessed live by any of the fans as the state government have not allowed fans to visit the stadium, barring them with the concern of COVID outbreak across the country.

Saturday, February 5 will be remarkable for the India U-19 team and the stunning appreciation of the selection committee as India U-19 reaches its fourth consecutive finals against team England U-19. BCCI will be appreciated as India remains the most successful team in the ICC Under-19 World Cup, winning 4 titles in 14 editions of the tournament, reaching the finals 8 times. Yash Dhull-led team India has not lost a single match throughout the tournament and has to win one last game to bag in India’s fifth Under-19 World Cup. The COVID concerns in the U-19 Indian team did not stop the passionate boys to do well as with just 11 players available team India U-19 won against Ireland with a great margin. The full-strength squad was ready before the Super League knockout stages and will be eyeing for one and the most important win as history awaits.

The cricket fans will be excited to watch out for this historic weekend with the senior as well as the junior team achieving record-breaking moments.
