As the festive season of Franchise cricket draws towards the end, the fans have started to gear up for the carnival of international cricket that will start in less than 10 days. A great example of the same was seen during the 55th league match of the season, where Mumbai Indians were playing Sunrisers Hyderabad in their last league game. It was being hard enough for the cameramen to keep up with the pace at which Ishan Kishan was thrashing the bowlers left and right, still, somehow a cameraman on Star Sports Network managed to capture a fan holding up a placard that read, ‘Rohit need 2 tickets for India vs Pakistan pleeeease.’ A garb of this footage went viral on the internet in no time.
Nobody can blame the fan though, as the match India vs Pakistan has become a rare sight in cricket. After the former decided against playing any kind of bilateral series against Pakistan, fans are deprived of one of cricket’s greatest rivalries. Although, the two teams still meet at ICC events such as World Cups and Champions Trophy. But getting a ticket for such a high-octane fixture is no mean feat as well. According to a report by PakPassion.net, the tickets were sold as soon as they became unavailable. Such is the passion and craze of witnessing a match between India and Pakistan.
With the event commencing on the 17th of October, the two rivals will be in action on the 24th. Both will be playing their first match on the group stage in the Dubai International stadium.
