3rd T20 West Indies vs England: West Indies score their highest total in T20s against England

West Indies scored 224-5 in the first innings, giving a tough fight to England.

West Indies with a brilliant batting performance will not let the match slip away from their hands and similarly, it will be tough for team England to jump up and grab the win from the host’s hand.

A powerful partnership of Nicholas Pooran and Rovman Powell helped team West Indies to set the score of 224 runs within 20 overs. The West Indies have made the fans excited as the spectators and viewers witness a powerful show of fours and sixes.

England won the toss and chose to bowl first but the poor performance by the Ali-led team might hamper their second innings and West Indies might find a way to win by a great margin to set the record in the international record book of cricket.

Pooran was out after scoring 70 runs while Powell hit his maiden ton and got out in 107 runs. The last over too witnessed the boundary-show with three consecutive fours.

Apart from Topley and Adil Rashid, all the bowlers have a poor economy above 13.00 while Topley finished off his four overs with an economy of 7.50 and Adil at 6.20. Captain Moeen remains wicketless while bowline just one over, as the rest of the bowlers grab in one wicket each.

England might have to fight hard to chase down this big total of 225 runs. The openers of England seem to start well but the 200+ runs on the board suggest that England has a long way to go. Without Morgan in XI and three inexperienced debutants, captain Moeen has to play a captain’s innings for team England.
