On Wednesday, Indian badminton pair Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy have ruled out of the Sudirman Cup due to medical reasons as the safety of the players are of utmost importance. The current World No 10 duo pair was essentially going to be a part of the Sudirman Cup which kick starts from 26th September and ends on 3rd October held in Finland this year. A source of BAI has informed PTI mentioning “Chirag and Satwik have removed on clinical grounds as the previous isn’t well”. The duo pair was last seen participating in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics mega event where they showed their contribution and performance well.

It will be subject to Chirag’s recovery from illness.” The Thomas Cup is set to commence from 9th October till 17th October which will be held in Aarhus, Denmark.
