Mohammad Khaibar Nooristani, representing Afghanistan, gets suspended at the Asian Games 2023. The boxer failed the anti-doping test, as mentioned by the International Testing Agency (ITA). The Afghan boxer turned out to be the first athlete at the Asian Games 2023 to fail the anti-doping test.
The 37-year-old boxer can request the B-sample from the authorities. However, according to the reports for now, the boxer is suspended from the men’s 63.5 to 71 kg category.
The matter has been taken to the Anti-Doping Division of the Court of Arbitration for Sport based on the anti-doping rules. Neither Nooristani nor the Afghan team kept any comment from their side.
