75th Mann Ki Baat: PM Modi congratulates Cricketer Mithali Raj and other sportswomen for setting new records

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, today spoke to his fellow countrymen through Mann Ki Baat program on the radio. During this, the Prime Minister congratulated the Indian women players who have been making tremendous contribution in the field of sports. Mithali Raj, who scored 10,000 runs in international cricket, was congratulated by PM Modi. PM Modi said that recently Mithali Raj set a record of scoring 10,000 runs in International cricket and she is the first Indian woman cricketer to do so. “I congratulate her for this achievement” said PM Modi.

PM Modi praised the way Team India performance in the ISSF Shooting World Cup held in Delhi. “In the month of March when we are celebrating Women’s Day, many women players secured records and medals in their name. India bagged top position during the ISSF World Cup shooting organized at Delhi. India also topped the gold medals tally,” said PM Modi during his address.

India got the first place in the ISSF World Cup, not only that, India has won most number of gold medals in the tournament. PM Modi congratulated PV Sindhu on winning the silver medal. PM said that I am happy that the daughters of our country are setting new records for themselves in sports and other fields.

In the ISSF World Cup, India won 27 medals, including 13 gold medals, 8 silver medals and 6 bronze medals. Russia was ranked second, winning a total of 5 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze medal. While on the third place, America won 5 gold, 3 silver, 6 bronze medals. PM Modi appreciated the contribution of the people of the country during the Corona period. He said that there was a time when we were working hard for the corona vaccine and today it is being distributed in different countries.
