Wipro and Ericsson transform Odido’s billing platform to enhance customer experience and enable 5G services

Wipro Limited (NYSE: WIT, BSE: 507685, NSE: WIPRO) and Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERIC) have announced the successful transformation of the billing experience for Odido’s 5 million mobile customers in the Netherlands. The project involved migrating Odido’s billing system to Ericsson’s cloud-native billing platform, hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS), in just one weekend.

This transformation will enable Odido to roll out innovative 5G services, including the Netherlands’ first 5G fixed-wireless access (FWA) service, Klik&Klaar. The migration was executed with Wipro as the end-to-end system integrator, ensuring seamless integration with Odido’s existing IT infrastructure.

Key highlights of the migration:

  • 5 million customers migrated to the Ericsson Billing platform, hosted on AWS, in a flawless transition over a single weekend.
