Cricketer KL Rahul and actor Suniel Shetty have jointly purchased 7 acres of undivided land in Owale, Thane West, for Rs 9.85 crore, according to property registration documents reviewed by Square Yards via the Maharashtra government’s IGR portal.
The acquired land is part of a larger 30-acre 17-guntha parcel strategically located along Ghodbunder Road, a key connector between Eastern and Western Express Highways. The area lies between Anand Nagar and Kasarvadavali and offers seamless access to major business districts in Mumbai, Thane, and nearby western suburbs.
The transaction, which was registered in March 2025, involved a stamp duty of Rs 68.96 lakh and registration charges of Rs 30,000. As per the documentation, the total land acquired spans approximately 28,328 square metres or 33,880 square yards.
KL Rahul, a prominent Indian cricketer, has represented India across formats and captained IPL franchises. Suniel Shetty, known for his work in Indian cinema, has also made his mark as an entrepreneur across real estate, fitness, and hospitality sectors.
The move highlights growing interest in real estate investment by high-profile public figures, particularly in fast-developing locations like Thane West, which continues to see rapid infrastructure development and connectivity improvements.
