The Pakistan Cricket Board(PCB) confirmed that one member of the squad tested positive for COVID-19. The 35-member Pakistan squad will depart for Johannesburg on 26th March, for the three ODIs and four T20Is against South Africa. They will then fly to Bulawayo on 17th April, for three T20Is and two Tests against Zimbabwe.
The PCB had ensured that all players entering Lahore from other parts of the city will carry negative test reports after the first round of testing on 16th March. The second round of tests would be conducted on Thursday at the team hotel. Players, and others, who return negative results can start training at the Gaddafi Stadium after that.
“A total of 35 tests were conducted on the South Africa-bound Pakistan men’s national cricket team on Tuesday, 16 March. All squad members have tested negative, except for one player,” PCB said in a statement. The player who has tested positive will undergo a repeat test on Thursday at his residence. If he tests negative, only then he will be eligible to travel to Lahore where he will remain in isolation.

Though the PCB did not reveal the name of the player who tested positive. But some reports indicate that fast bowler Hasan Ali is the one who has contacted COVID-19.
