In a press conference, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal discussed the present situation of Covid-19 in the national capital. CM Kejriwal had again urged the centre to remove the age restriction in the vaccination drive.
He said, “I have requested the Centre many times regarding the removal of age restrictions on taking Covid-19 vaccine. Delhi government is ready to conduct a door-to-door campaign to vaccinate people. 65% of patients in Delhi are below 35 years of age.”
Adding further, Kejriwal said, “Check the availability of beds on our app before going to hospitals. Occupy beds if only there is an emergency. I am not in favor of a lockdown but the shortage of beds and failure of hospital management will leave us with no option,” as quoted by ANI.

Well, recently, the Delhi government has announced a night curfew because of the sky-touching numbers of COVID-19 patients.
CM Kejriwal also talked of the gravity of the fourth wave of the virus. He said, “The surge in the Coronavirus cases this time is more dangerous than it was during the third peak”.
Delhi CM then appealed to the civilians to step out only if necessary but not without putting on masks. He has made it a point that the capital will go for a lockdown only if the hospital management collapses.
The national capital has reported over 10,000 cases in the last 24 hours, which is indeed a worrisome situation. Seeing the crisis taking hold, the Delhi government has promulgated a fresh set of restrictions which will be in effect till the 30th of April, as of now.
The new set of restrictions involves bars, hotels, and restaurants to function with 50% of capacity. 50 is the limit for guests to attend wedding ceremonies while 0nly 20 people are allowed to attend last rites.
In addition to this, a person traveling from Maharashtra to Delhi must carry a negative RT-PCR report dated 72 hours prior to arrival. Otherwise, the traveler will have to be quarantined for two weeks.
Similarly, for cinema halls as well, there’s a limitation to operate with 50% of the capacity.
