Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin hospitalized for “investigation and observation for COVID-19-related symptoms”

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Muthuvel Karunanidhi (MK) Stalin earlier tested positive for COVID-19 and was hospitalized in a private hospital in Chennai.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Muthuvel Karunanidhi (MK) Stalin had earlier tested positive for COVID-19 and today was hospitalized in a private hospital in Chennai.
MK Stalin is the son of the former Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi and has been the president of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) party since 28 August 2018.

The DMK chief was admitted for “investigation and observation for COVID-19-related symptoms”. Said reports, two days after the CM had informed of his infection.

 

Kauvery Hospital in Chennai issued a statement confirming the same.

Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi wished CM Stalin a speedy recovery after learning of his infection.
“I learnt with utmost concern that you have tested positive for Covid-19. You have been a dynamic public leader with significant public contact making you vulnerable to this contagion. I pray for your sound health and speedy recovery”. Governor Ravi wrote in a letter to MK Stalin.
Former CM O Panneerselvam also wished MK Stalin a speedy recovery tweeting that he prayed to almighty god for the CM’s quick recovery so his work for the people continues.

Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy also shared his message in a letter: “I pray to the Almighty that you recover fast from the infection and return to serve the people
