While India has been grappling with the Covid-19 cases, efforts are being made to curb the spread of the virus. However, India’s crippling healthcare infrastructure has been quite concerning and the lack of crucial medical supplies has raised eyebrows across the nation.

General MM Naravane informed the PM that the Army is helping with manpower for imported Oxygen tankers and vehicles where specialised skills are required to manage them.

While several states have seen a surge in the demand for medical oxygen, a senior government official on Monday informed that the country has enough medical oxygen but its transportation is a challenge.

Hitherto, PM Modi has held several meetings with various organisations and officials to fight the pandemic raging in various parts of the country.

India is in the midst of a devastating second wave of COVID-19 – witnessing an unprecedented spike in the cases and deaths. The country is recording more than 3,00,000 daily new coronavirus cases being reported in the past few days, and hospitals in several states are reeling under a shortage of medical oxygen and beds.
