Over 13.23 crore people got COVID-19 vaccine shots in India

According to the Union Health Ministry, more than 13.23 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccines have been administered.

The cumulative number of Covid-19 vaccines administered in the country has crossed 13.23 crore, as part of the world’s largest vaccination drive, as per the statement issued by the ministry of health on Thursday.

According to the health ministry, “13,23,30,644 vaccine doses have been administered through 19,28,118 sessions, as per the provisional report till 7 am today and over 22 lakh vaccination doses were administered in the last 24 hours”.


Further, the health ministry adds, “These include 92,19,544 HCW’s who have taken the first dose and 58,52,071 HCW’s who have taken the second dose, 1,16,32,050 FLW’s (first dose), 59,36,530 FLW’s (second dose), 4,78,67,118 1st dose beneficiaries and 57,60,331 second dose beneficiaries more than 60-years-old and 4,44,28,884 (1st dose) and 16,34,116 (2nd dose) beneficiaries aged 45 to 60 years”, as quoted by ANI.

Also, the health ministry, on Wednesday, has issued a statement regarding the vaccination drive, i.e., the number of vaccine doses administerd so far in the country.

Although, states like Mahrashtra, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Kerala has witnessed 59.99 of the total active cases in the country.

While, on the other hand, Ladakh (UT), Daman and Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haweli, Tripura, Sikkim, Mizoram, Lakshadweep, Nagaland, Andaman & Nicobar islands, and Arunachal Pradesh haven’t reported any Covid-19 deaths in the last 24 hours, as per the reports of ANI.

In addition to this, the total number of Covid-19 cases in India stands at 15.6 million. Though, attempts are being made to boost up the vaccination drive, but the Covid-19 cases are rising at a swift pace.

Even, the national capital has reported 3,14,644 new cases yesterday alsong with a seven-days average of 2,65,173 Covid cases.

CM Kejriwal held a meeting on Thursday, and talked about the situation of oxygen dupply in the national capital. He also expressed benignity towards the center and the Delhi High Court for helping the government out with the oxygen supply.
