Himachal Pradesh logs 108 more COVID-19 cases, 1 fresh death reported

In the state of Himachal Pradesh, altogether 108 fresh COVID-19 cases were detected during the last 24 hours, with 1 more person succumbing to the disease.

Dharamshala, Apr 7: Altogether 108 fresh Covid 19 cases were detected in Himachal Pradesh during the last 24 hours, with one more person succubming to the disease on Friday, health officials said.

The total Coronavirus caseload in the state has mounted to 316195.

1896 tests were performed during the day. The spokesman of the health department told UNI that one Covid 19 death was reported from Mandi district, where a 19 year old girl died of Covid with bilateral pneumonia, taking the state toll to 4198.

Among the fresh cases, the highest number of 29 was reported from Hamirpur followed by 25 in Kangra, 15 from Mandi, 10 each from Bilaspur and Chamba , 4 from Solan , 9 from Shimla , one each from Una, Lahoul and Sipiti, Kullu and Sirmour districts of Himachal Pradesh.

A spokesman of the Health Department told UNI that all the 108 fresh cases who have tested positive today have been isolated as per the protocol.

He said that the number of active cases has further touched 1739.

He said that the number of Active cases included 319 from Mandi, 136 from Shimla, 300 from Kàngra, 367 from Hamirpur, 158 from Bilaspur and 74 from Kullu, 117 from Solan, 86 from Chamba and 104 from Sirmour, districts of this hill state.

The sources told UNI that there were 301 recoveries today in the state, thus keeping the number of recovered patients at 310237.

He said that there were 1896 samples collected today for testing and results of 248 cases was yet awaited.

He said that four Covid patients were admitted in different hospitals in the state and there were 21 active admissions in the state.
