Director General of Police of Goa, Mukesh Kumar Meena tests positive for COVID-19

One more police officer tested positive for Coronavirus as Director General of Police of Goa, Mukesh Kumar Meena was infected by the virus.

Goa : One more police officer tested positive for Coronavirus as Director General of Police of Goa, Mukesh Kumar Meena was infected by the virus. The test report which came out today confirmed his bloodstream to contain the COVID-19 virus. He was tested after mild symptoms.

Currently DGP Meena is admitted in a private hospital and his condition is stable. “His test report came out positive on Monday morning. He has mild symptoms,” the official said.

Earlier more than 50 police personals have been tested positive for Coronavirus in the Goa police department, out of which most have been cured.

The tally of Coronavirus cases in Goa rises to 31k. Nearly 2% of the population of Goa has been infected by the Coronavirus. The state government has decided to permit opening of restaurants. Despite this, people are not going to restaurants. The  important thing is Goa is in a better condition in comparison to other states of India. Daily 500 positive cases are coming and the situation is in control. While the death count rises to 401. Goa did a really good job while dealing with the Coronavirus. Because of proper lockdown in coordination  with health workers, police personals and the people of Goa successfully defeated Coronavirus and declared Goa as a Corona free state, at the time when most of states were suffering from Corona crises.
