
Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (POWERGRID) has announced the successful commissioning of its Raipur Pool Dhamtari Transmission Project, implemented through its wholly owned subsidiary, POWERGRID Raipur Pool Dhamtari Transmission Limited.
The project, secured under the Tariff Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) mechanism, was part of the Western Region Expansion Scheme-XXVII (WRES-XXVII). According to the regulatory filing made by the company, the transmission system has been fully commissioned and is operational with effect from March 26, 2025, following the receipt of the Notification for Commercial Operation (DOCO) on April 16, 2025.
This development aligns with POWERGRID’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the transmission infrastructure in India’s western region, enabling improved power flow and grid stability. The company continues to play a crucial role in expanding India’s power transmission network through timely execution of large-scale projects under the TBCB framework.
