Due to heavy rainfall across the state on Tuesday, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao instructed the officials to announce vacations for all educational institutions from July 26 to July 27. A red warning has been issued for Telangana by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) in Hyderabad due to the forecast of three days of very severe to extremely heavy rainfall in various districts of the state.
The meteorological service predicts that Telangana’s eastern districts will likely see severe to extremely heavy rains on July 25. Heavy rains may occasionally be seen in Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy, Medchal, Vikharabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mehboobnagar, Nagarkurnol, Siddipet, Jangaon, Rajanna Sircilla, and Karimnagar.
Telangana is expected to have rain until July 27.
Eastern Telangana, certain areas of northern Telangana, and central Telangana are anticipated to see heavy to very heavy rainfall on July 26. At times, extremely heavy rainfall is also possible. There will probably be a lot of rain in Hyderabad and the surrounding areas.
On July 27, rainfall in Telangana’s capital city is expected to be severe to extremely heavy.
Phased logout for IT companies
On the advice of the municipal Department, IT businesses have resorted to logging off employees gradually in order to prevent severe traffic jams like the one that occurred on July 24, Monday in the evening. This is because the IMD has forecast heavy rainfall for the city for the next five days.
On Monday evening, the city was battered by torrential rains, which caused significant traffic bottlenecks that may last for two hours. Several scores of IT workers were hit while driving home from a long day’s work.
