Mahindra University set to launch School of Law, Details here

Mahindra University, a multi-disciplinary university, is spread over 130 acres of land in the city of Hyderabad.

On August 13, one of Hyderabad’s leading engineering colleges announced the launch of a new School of Law (MU-SoL), which will start from the session 2021-22.

Former Central Information Commissioner (CIC), writer and academician, Sridhar Acharyulu, has been roped in as the dean of MU-SoL. He has published 48 books on law and journalism in English and Telugu. Earlier, Acharyulu worked as a professor at the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) and a registrar at NALSAR University.

After the launch of Ecole Centrale School of Engineering and the School of Management, this is the third university to be set up by Mahindra University. MU-SoL will offer the five-year integrated BBA-LLB (Hons) and BBA-LBB (Hons), each of 60 seats in total.

Mahindra University’s Vice-Chancellor, Yajulu Medury, added, “We are happy to announce the setting up of Mahindra University’s School of Law. This marks yet another important step in our journey to become a multi-disciplinary institution of higher learning. It is a pleasure to have Dr Sridhar Acharyulu on board as its founder Dean and together with the MU School of Law faculty, we will make a difference in legal education in years to come.”

As per a statement by Mahindra University, it aspires to send its graduates to various corporate houses, judiciary and leading law firms after the completion of their integrated course.
