In the Maharashtra SSC examinations 2021, not even a single student could secure passing marks in nine schools including two in Mumbai and four in Nagpur. This year’s result has been prepared based on an alternative assessment method, as exams could not be held on time due to the coronavirus pandemic, according to a report released by the Hindustan Times.

The results were announced by Dinkar Patil, the chairman of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary And Higher Secondary Education, in a Press Conference. At 1 p.m. the individual scorecards of students has be released. Over 15 lakh students were supposed to appear for the SSC examinations this year while a total of 22,767 schools had registered under the state board.

In an official statement, the Maharashtra Board had earlier mentioned that based on internal assessment in the year 2021, the online result of E10V which is prepared by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary And Higher Secondary Education shall be released on 16th July 2021 at 1 p.m.

Out of the 100 marks, 50% of the marks shall be given based on class 9 while 30 marks for the year-long internal assessment of class 10 and 20 marks shall be given for practicals or homework for assignments which were done in class 10.

100 per cent pass has been registered by 22,384 schools this year in the alternative assessment, while 99.95 per cent is the overall pass percentage among students, as said by the board chairman.

Among girls, the pass percentage is 99.96 per cent while it is 99.94 per cent among boys, he said. A total of 957 students have secured hundred per cent marks this year.
