
The aspirants of JEE Mains 2021 hailing from areas affected by the heavy rains would get another chance to appear for the engineering entrance exam.
Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Education Minister, tweeted that the students from Kolhapur, Palghar, Ratnagiri, Raigadh, Sindhudurg, Sangli and Satara who are not able to reach their test centres on July 25 and July 27 2021 for the JEE Main 2021 Session 3 do not have to panic, as they would be given another opportunity and the dates would be announced soon by the NTA.
Dharmendra Pradhan also mentioned that during the heavy rains and landslides in Maharashtra, he has advised the NTA to grant another opportunity to all the candidates who might not be able to reach the test centre for the JEE Main 2021 Session 3, in order to assist the student community.
The engineering entrance exam in 2021 had been held four times so as to improve their score, however the exams are held twice an year. The number of attempts were doubled in this year so as to allow more chances to the students because their academic cycle had an impact by the COVID-19 due to the schools and coaching centres being shut down.
