SpiceJet has recently informed exchanges that the company secured the rights to operate Haj flights in 2025 from four major Indian cities: Kolkata, Guwahati, Srinagar, and Gaya. The airline will transport nearly 15,500 pilgrims, marking an 18% increase compared to 2024. SpiceJet plans to operate over 100 special Haj flights, utilizing both narrow-body and wide-body aircraft.
Haj operations have been a significant revenue source for SpiceJet, and the airline expects to generate ₹185 crore in 2025. Since 2019, SpiceJet has been successfully conducting special annual Haj flights. For the 2025 season, the airline will enhance its services, ensuring a smooth and comfortable journey for pilgrims, including the use of wide-body Airbus A340 aircraft with a capacity of 324 passengers.
