Air traffic at Dubai International Airport continues to operate normally despite a drone incident reported near the airport earlier on Wednesday, according to the Dubai Media Office.
Authorities said two drones fell in the vicinity of the airport, leaving four people injured. Officials confirmed that three individuals sustained minor injuries while one person suffered moderate injuries. Emergency response teams were deployed immediately after the incident.
Flights continue without disruption
Despite the security scare near the airport perimeter, officials confirmed that flight operations at DXB have not been suspended or disrupted. Aircraft movements and airport operations are continuing as scheduled.
Dubai International Airport remains one of the world’s busiest hubs for international passenger traffic, making any incident near its airspace closely monitored by aviation and security authorities.
Investigation underway
Authorities have not yet confirmed the origin or intent of the drones involved in the incident. Security agencies are currently assessing the situation and conducting investigations.
The development comes amid heightened regional tensions in the Middle East, where several drone and missile-related incidents have been reported in recent weeks.
Officials said updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
